The state of Nebraska offers many different types of hunting, from big game hunting to upland bird hunting to waterfowl hunting to varmint hunting. Nebraska is truly a hunters mecca! Prairie Sands Hunting is situated in the Sandhills of west central Nebraska, and we are fortunate to offer many different hunting opportunities for your enjoyment. This raw, untamed terrain is truly a sight to behold with your own eyes. Located in western NE, we have rolling hills of native grasses with lakes and agriculture mixed in.

Prairie Sands has over 13,000 acres of prime upland bird hunting land on a working cattle ranch. We have set aside acres and acres of these natural Sandhills grasslands, and have developed shelter belts, water dugouts and more to enhance natures beautiful habitat and help support wildlife.

This combination of natural grasslands and developed upland bird hunting habitat contributes to favorable conditions for both wild and released upland gamebirds to thrive year after year on our Nebraska ranch property.

Hunting in Nebraska at Prairie Sands will provide ample opportunity to see many different species of upland birds. This means you will have a great chance at obtaining a "Prairie Grand Slam", which means the opportunity to bag four different species of upland birds in one hunting trip. This also means you will get to hunt many different upland bird hunting habitats. When hunting in Nebraska, remember to pack a variety of gear, especially your hunting boots. Lightweight boots for warmer weather, insulated boots if hunting in the winter. But be prepared to walk! This will be a true hunt for birds-not a stroll on a small acreage to kick up some birds and be done in an hour.
